The Prime Minister of Canada: We stand in solidarity with the people of Iran, whose voices must be heard.

Mark Carney, the Prime Minister of Canada, strongly condemned on the social network X the killing of protesters, the use of violence, arbitrary arrests, and intimidation tactics by the Iranian government against its citizens.

He wrote, ‘We stand in solidarity with the people of Iran, people whose voices must be heard because they are demanding freedom and dignity.’

Previously, the United Kingdom, Germany, and France had also expressed their concern in a joint statement about reports of violence by Iranian security forces against protesters.
