The cause of this year's inflation was the banks' lack of discipline

The reason for this year’s inflation was the financial indiscipline of the banks.

The Vice Chairman of the Parliament’s Joint Commission said that the Plan and Budget Organization has provided a good budget to the Parliament this year. A realistic budget has been considered, and hopefully, the budget deficit will be low. This year, the banks exhibited a lot of financial indiscipline, which unfortunately resulted in high inflation. We could have achieved an inflation rate below 30% given the good budget provided by the government for the year 1401 and approved by the Parliament, if it weren’t for the banks’ indiscipline.
