The Chairman of the National Security Commission: There is a Desire for Negotiation between Tehran and Washington

The head of the National Security Commission says there is a willingness for negotiation between Tehran and Washington

Ebrahim Azizi, the head of the National Security Commission of the Islamic Consultative Assembly, said on Thursday, November 19, in response to Donald Trump’s statements about the start of talks between Tehran and Washington, that there are currently no negotiations between Iran and the United States, but there has been and still is a willingness to negotiate.

This official of the Islamic Republic said at the University of Tehran, ‘We believe that if negotiations consider national interests, negotiation principles, and framework, and if the principle of enrichment is accepted in the nuclear issue, we will negotiate.’

Simultaneously with the visit of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman of Saudi Arabia to the United States, Kamal Kharrazi, an advisor to the leader of the Islamic Republic, told CNN that Tehran is ready to negotiate with the United States.
