The Chief Justice of Tehran is reviewing Tataloo’s repentance request
Ali Alqasimehr, the Chief Justice of Tehran Province, stated today, Monday, July 27, regarding Amirhossein Maqsoudloo, that given the repeated requests submitted by the convict, the expression of remorse and repentance of the individual has been communicated, and it has been decided that the relevant court will examine the verification or non-verification of his repentance.
Mr. Alqasimehr, referring to the contents of the verdict against Amirhossein Maqsoudloo, known as Tataloo, said that currently, the order to review his request has been issued, but the verification of acceptance or non-acceptance of the convict’s repentance lies with the court that issued the ruling.
Since the convict has personally confessed to his charges, the charges have been proven by confession, and based on Article 114 of the Islamic Penal Code, the grounds for reviewing the verification or non-verification of his repentance are provided, otherwise, the court would not have the legal capacity to review this matter.
The Chief Justice of Tehran emphasized that the convict’s conduct in prison will certainly be reviewed by the court and stressed that the court will not be influenced by any media hype during the review of the ruling.
