The Chief of Economic Security Police says Babak Zanjani talks too much and should be dealt with

The head of the Economic Security Police says Babak Zanjani talks too much and needs to be dealt with.

Hossein Rahimi, the head of the Economic Security Police, has called for judicial action against Babak Zanjani.

About 10 days ago, Babak Zanjani criticized the Central Bank’s performance, stating that the dollar’s price is on its way to reaching 200,000 tomans.

In an exclusive interview with ILNA news agency, Hossein Rahimi said this individual talks too much and has recently made comments about the Central Bank, the currency market, and the Economic Security Police that the judiciary needs to address, and relevant authorities should investigate this matter.

On November 3, Babak Zanjani posted a video on the X network featuring the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic discussing the necessity of maintaining the national currency’s value, attributing the dollar reaching 110,000 tomans to the Central Bank’s mistakes. In the most optimistic estimates, considering the uncontrolled money printing, the incorrect implementation of the bailout plan, and the creation of false liquidity by related banking trustees and their currency shortages, the dollar is on its way to reaching 200,000 tomans.

He previously stated that the increase in the dollar’s price in Iran is not related to the snapback mechanism and external sanctions, and it’s all due to the Central Bank.
