The European Union Calls Protesters' Executions Horrifying

The European Union described the executions of protesters as horrifying.

Hours after the execution of Karami and Hosseini, the European Union reacted to this action by the judiciary of the Islamic Republic.

The spokesperson for Josep Borrell, the European Union’s foreign policy coordinator, stated that the news of the execution of these two young protesters is horrifying.

The execution of Mohammad Mehdi Karami and Mohammad Hosseini on Saturday, January 7th, has sparked numerous domestic and international reactions and widespread disgust among human rights advocates.

Hannah Neumann, a member of the Green Party in the European Parliament and a prominent politician active in the field of human rights, said that the time for negotiation and rolling out the red carpet for Iranian politicians is over. Neumann wrote that we must treat the officials of the Islamic Republic as they truly are: terrorists.
