The European Union Sanctioned Several Foreign Companies

The European Union sanctioned several foreign companies.

The European Union announced on Friday that several foreign companies have been added to a new sanctions list for allegedly exporting dual-use goods to Russia, which could be used in its war against Ukraine.

In a statement, the union mentioned that some companies manufacturing electronic components, which the EU believes can have both military and civilian applications, were among the 27 entities accused of directly supporting Russia’s military and industrial activities in its aggressive war against Ukraine.

These companies, some of which are based in India, Sri Lanka, China, Serbia, Kazakhstan, Thailand, and Turkey, will face stricter export restrictions.

The names of these companies will be made public in the coming days after being published in the official journal of the European Union.
