The European Union's Spring Joins the Economic Exclusion Campaign Against Iran

Bassett: The European Union has joined the campaign to economically ostracize Iran.

Scott Bassett, the U.S. Secretary of the Treasury, announced that the European Union has officially joined what he called the operation to economically ostracize the Islamic Republic.

In a message on the social network X, Bassett expressed appreciation for the firm and early stance of the European Union and said that the U.S., along with its allies, will work to restrict Iran’s access to the global financial system.

He claimed that Tehran uses these resources for nuclear and military programs and to support proxy forces, adding that these pressures will continue until the last financial routes of Iran are cut off.
