The first defense tunnel is being constructed in Tehran
Following Israeli attacks on targets in Iran, the semi-official Tasnim news agency reported on Tuesday that Iran is building a defense tunnel in Tehran.
This tunnel, located near the city center, connects the Defenders of Health metro station to Imam Khomeini Hospital, thus providing direct underground access to the medical center.
The head of the Tehran City Council’s Transportation Commission stated that this is the first time in the country that a tunnel with defense applications is being constructed in Tehran.
On October 26th, Israel officially carried out its first attacks on Iranian soil, targeting missile factories and several other sites near Tehran and in western Iran, in response to Iran’s early October attack on Israeli territory.
