The first Iranian deer was born in 2023.

The first Iranian Persian fallow deer was born in 2023 at the Persian fallow deer breeding and conservation site in Arsanjan County. Hassan Ebrahimi, the head of the Arsanjan County Environmental Protection Department, announced this news on Saturday and stated that all necessary measures have been taken to ensure a safe and secure habitat for the Iranian Persian fallow deer at the Arsanjan site.

Ebrahimi mentioned that the Persian fallow deer restoration and breeding site in Arsanjan is currently a suitable habitat for these animals and wildlife. He added that the Iranian Persian fallow deer is listed as an endangered species by the International Wildlife Organization, and in recent years, by creating safe and secure conditions in the environmental area for the Persian fallow deer, the population of this rare species has been increasing.
