The first phase of 2026 World Cup ticket sales begins today

The first phase of ticket sales for the 2026 World Cup began today.

The first series of tickets for the 2026 FIFA World Cup will be available from Wednesday, but this phase will not be open to the general public. Only Visa credit card holders, as FIFA’s official partner, can participate in the initial lottery.

The ticket prices have been announced, ranging from $60 for group stage matches to $6,730 for the final match.

For the first time, a dynamic pricing system will be used, meaning ticket prices will change based on demand.

These prices are significantly higher compared to previous tournaments. In the 1994 World Cup in the USA, tickets were priced between $25 and $475, and in the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, the dollar equivalent prices ranged from $69 to $1,600.

The 2026 World Cup will be held from June 11 to July 19 in eleven stadiums in the USA, three stadiums in Mexico, and two stadiums in Canada.

This edition will feature 48 national teams for the first time and will consist of 104 matches, an increase from the 64 matches in previous editions.
