The first train carrying exports from Afghanistan set off towards the Turkish border after being delayed for several days in Iran.
The Iranian Railway Administration states that the first export cargo train from Afghanistan has headed towards the Razi border in Turkey, and this administration has expressed readiness for the transfer of the next train carrying Afghan commercial goods.
It was previously reported that this train, with 10 wagons of export goods, was stuck and abandoned at the Afghanistan-Iran border.
The Iranian Railway says the reason for the train’s delay was due to the lack of border, customs, and Iranian railway permits.
The Iranian Railway emphasized that establishing a permanent rail trade line between Afghanistan and Iran requires meeting the necessary standards and usual administrative procedures, including obtaining the relevant permits.
