The Government Has No Money for Another Increase in Employee and Pensioner Salaries

The government has no money to increase the salaries of employees and retirees again

On the eighth day of Shahrivar, Mirkazemi, the head of the Planning and Budget Organization, in response to a question about increasing the salaries of government employees and retirees, said that meetings are being held to review this issue and secure the financial resources for its implementation, although it has not yet been finalized in the government.

However, Hamid Hajasmaili, a labor market expert, believes that the government has no money for this task. In an interview with Khabar Online, he stated:

The most questioned issue is from where the government will secure the necessary financial resources. The government itself is faced with this fundamental problem and has admitted that it is searching for resources for this purpose. Certainly, such resources do not exist in the short term for this decision-making in the country because the government’s revenues are completely clear, and nothing specific has happened in the country to increase the government’s revenues.
