The government has no money for another salary increase for employees and retirees

The government has no money to increase the salaries of employees and retirees again.

On the eighth day of Shahrivar, Mir-Kazemi, the head of the Plan and Budget Organization, in response to a question about the increase in salaries of government employees and retirees, said that meetings are being held to review this issue in order to secure the financial resources for its implementation. However, it has not yet been finalized in the government.

But Hamid Haji Esmaeili, a labor market expert, believes that the government has no money for this. In an interview with Khabar Online, he stated:

The most questioned issue is where the government will secure the necessary credit resources from. The government itself is facing this fundamental problem and has admitted that it is searching for resources for this purpose. Certainly, such resources do not exist in the short term for this decision-making in the country, because the government’s revenues are completely clear, and nothing special has happened in the country to increase the government’s revenues.
