Guardian: The Trump administration is planning a 5,000-troop military base in Gaza

According to a Guardian report and documents from the Trump administration’s peace committee contracts, there are plans to build a military base with a capacity for 5,000 troops in southern Gaza. This base is intended to be used as the operations center for a multinational international stabilization force.

The reviewed plans include the construction of a military complex with armored watchtowers, bunkers, a light weapons training field, and equipment storage. Several international construction companies active in war zones have also visited the proposed site.

At the same time, the President of the United States and the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) announced that a $75 million fund for the reconstruction of football facilities in Gaza, damaged during the war, will be managed under FIFA’s direction.
