The head of the Civil Registration Organization, referring to the new election law, said that voters’ identification documents will not be stamped with the election mark, but the voting record of individuals will be registered in the organization’s identity information database. Additionally, for the convenience of the public, all civil registration offices across the country will be active on the election day, March 1st.
He emphasized that during the election process, the identity verification of voters will be conducted swiftly and their authenticity will be confirmed, allowing voters to participate in the elections easily and with confidence.
The head of the Civil Registration Organization explained the use of other identity documents required for participating in the upcoming elections, saying that under the new election law, in addition to the identification card and national card, some other identity documents such as a driver’s license are also accepted. Of course, those who approach the polling station with documents other than the national card and identification card will also have their identity verified and will then be able to vote.
