The president of Tarbiat Modares University discusses faculty members’ requests to leave the country

Every week, we encounter almost one request from faculty members asking for unpaid leave to go abroad for a year. Out of every five or six people who apply, 60 to 70 percent are just going abroad to see if they can stay, while 30 to 40 percent of the applicants genuinely leave the country to work on projects and return to Iran after completing them.
