The head of the election headquarters in Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad stated that in the twelfth term of the Islamic Consultative Assembly elections, the basis for voting will be identity verification systems, and there is no longer a need to stamp the ID card.
According to IRNA, Seyyed Javad Hashemi Mehr said on Thursday in a gathering of journalists in Yasuj, Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad, that considering some hostile media attempted to misuse the ID card stamping to confuse public opinion, this year, to clear up any ambiguity about the non-mandatory nature of participating in the elections, the stamping of ID cards has been removed.
