The Head of the Nursing Organization: Some Hospitals Employ Non-Nurses and Unauthorized Afghan Nurses

The head of the Nursing Organization stated that some hospitals are using non-nursing individuals and unauthorized Afghan nurses.

Ahmad Nejatiyan, the head of the Nursing Organization, in an interview with the Economic House, mentioned the shortage of nurses in Iran and said that private hospitals in the country are facing a serious shortage of nurses due to low salaries and benefits.

He added that many of those playing the role of nurses in private hospitals are not actually nurses or do not have the necessary permits to work.

Nejatiyan also said that many Afghan nurses do not have the necessary permits to work in medical centers, despite the high demand for nursing staff in the country.
