The head of the Judicial Commission of the Parliament sent the Hijab bill back to the Guardian Council a few days ago.
Ghazanfariabadi, the head of the Judicial and Legal Commission of the Parliament, said we addressed the issues of the Modesty and Hijab bill and sent our report to the Guardian Council.
The Judicial and Legal Commission of the Islamic Consultative Assembly corrected the Guardian Council’s objections to the Modesty and Hijab bill and sent their report back to the Guardian Council for further review.
It has been a few days since the report from the Judicial and Legal Commission of the Parliament regarding the resolution of issues in the Modesty and Hijab bill was sent to the Guardian Council, and we are waiting for the Guardian Council to review this report and express their opinion on it.
The head of the Judicial and Legal Commission of the Parliament added that the Supreme Supervisory Board of the Expediency Discernment Council also had objections to the Parliament’s decisions regarding the Modesty and Hijab bill, to which we have also responded.
It is noteworthy that according to the decision of the representatives of the Islamic Consultative Assembly, the Modesty and Hijab bill was reviewed based on Article 85, meaning it was not examined in the Parliament’s floor, but rather the Judicial Commission of the Parliament reviewed it and made corrections in light of the Guardian Council’s objections.
