The head of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency says the U.S. government intends to revoke a very important scientific finding.
Lee Zeldin, the head of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, stated that the statement issued in 2009, which declared carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases as a threat to public health, will be annulled.
He described this decision as the largest deregulation in American history.
Environmental groups and various states are expected to quickly take legal action against this decision.
Since Mr. Trump’s return to power in January, he has withdrawn the United States from the Paris Agreement on combating global warming and launched a major campaign to expand the use of fossil fuels.
