The Minister of Interior: We do not have a stringent plan for vetting qualifications

Ahmad Vahidi, the Minister of Interior, regarding the details of the Ministry of Interior’s plan and the executive boards for this year’s elections, stated that the law has defined certain regulations for the executive boards, but I must say there will be no stringent plan from the Ministry of Interior and the executive boards for approving qualifications.

Naturally, adherence to the regulations mentioned in the law and aligning those conditions anticipated in the constitution with the candidates and applicants will be reviewed. He added that although the executive boards have not yet been formed, participation is one of the most important axes in the elections and is part of our programs.
