The Judiciary: Kazem Seddiqi and his sons returned the Ozgol land to the seminary
After weeks of controversy over the acquisition of a 4,200-square-meter land by Kazem Seddiqi, the interim Friday prayer leader of Tehran, the spokesperson for the Judiciary claimed that on March 29, 2024, the transaction for the transfer of the Ozgol land was rescinded, and the institute ‘Followers of Qaem’s Thoughts’, belonging to Seddiqi and his sons, officially returned this land to the Khomeini seminary.
Rescission is a legal term meaning the annulment of a contract with the mutual consent of both parties.
Masoud Setayeshi provided these explanations on Tuesday, April 9, during his last press conference, during which he also announced his resignation from the position of Judiciary spokesperson.
On March 13, journalist Yashar Soltani published documents indicating that Kazem Seddiqi, the interim Friday prayer leader of Tehran, had acquired a garden with an area of 4,200 square meters in the Ozgol area of Tehran.
