Vahid Moradi’s killer will be executed on Wednesday
On July 2, 2018, a bloody altercation occurred in the prison yard between several groups of inmates, ultimately resulting in the murder of Vahid Moradi.
Vahid Moradi, a notorious Tehran criminal known as the ‘Eagle of Tehran,’ killed his friend named Hossein at a party in Velenjak in May 2018.
After committing this crime, he attempted to flee to Turkey but was arrested by the authorities 500 meters from the border.
Vahid was transferred to Rajai Shahr Prison, but only a few weeks after his arrest, he was killed.
After reviewing the prison’s CCTV footage, and investigating witnesses and the evidence obtained, Saeed Saleh was ultimately identified as the main perpetrator of this crime.
He was arrested on charges of murdering the young man and is currently in prison.
Nearly five years after the crime, Vahid Moradi’s father signed the execution order, stating that he has raised his orphaned grandchild for five years, and the execution is not only his wish but also the wish of his 10-year-old grandchild and daughter-in-law.
