The Leader of the Islamic Republic Addresses Hajj Officials: The Ceremony of Disavowal of Polytheists Must Continue

The leader of the Islamic Republic addressed the Hajj officials: The ceremony of disavowal of polytheists must continue.

While in past decades, the holding of the Islamic Republic’s governmental gathering in Saudi Arabia during the Hajj ceremony known as the disavowal of polytheists has always caused tension between Tehran and Riyadh, the leader of the Islamic Republic once again called for the holding of this governmental ceremony.

On Wednesday, May 17, the leader of the Islamic Republic, in a meeting with officials responsible for sending Iranian pilgrims to Saudi Arabia, stated that the great movement of disavowal of polytheists, which is among the broad and deep capacities of Hajj, must continue.

The ceremony of disavowal of polytheists is a political propaganda activity by the Islamic Republic during the Hajj, initiated by Ruhollah Khomeini, the founder of the Islamic Republic.
