The leader of the Islamic Republic says the United States is seeking to create religious and gender crises in Iran.
Ayatollah Khamenei, the leader of the Islamic Republic, on the eve of the anniversary of nationwide protests that began with the death of Mahsa Zhina Amini in the custody of the morality police, once again blamed foreign countries for creating crises in Iran.
Mr. Khamenei has stated that our intelligence information tells us that the U.S. government has established a group called the Crisis Group in this country, tasked with creating crises in countries, including Iran, by identifying and provoking points they believe could lead to crises.
Without citing any data or quotes, Mr. Khamenei accused Western countries of concluding through thought and study that there are several crisis-prone points in Iran, such as ethnic differences, religious disparities, and gender and women’s issues, which should be agitated for crisis-making. This is America’s plan, and the camel dreams of cotton seeds.
In these remarks, there is no mention of the protests over the past year in Sistan and Baluchestan province and the events of Bloody Friday in Zahedan.
