The Lowest Three Deciles of Society No Longer Buy Meat

The bottom three deciles of society no longer buy meat

A member of the Iranian Union of Supermarkets and Protein Products has stated that the price of meat has more than doubled this year, and for this reason, the bottom three deciles of society can no longer buy meat at all.

Ezzatollah Hemmati has said that the economic situation is not good and people’s purchasing power is low. He mentioned that compared to last year, we have seen about a 30% decrease in purchases.

Meanwhile, various types of meat have been among the items that have experienced the highest price increase in the food category compared to the previous month, December.
