The Majority of Victims in the Rajaee Port Explosion Were Workers

The majority of the victims of the Rajaee Port explosion were workers.

Tragic and deadly incidents are falling upon workers and wage earners one after another, and they are the main victims of negligence.

Following the massive explosions at Rajaee Port in Bandar Abbas, more than seven thousand workers of this complex, who were employed in the marine industry, warehousing, and unloading sectors, suffered serious injuries.

Arsalan Heidari, a labor activist and head of the Bandar Abbas Retirees Association, pointed out that the Rajaee dock is as large as a big city and thousands of workers are employed there. He reported that unfortunately, 99 percent of the victims of this incident were male and female workers who were working at the time of the incident.
