The Mayor of District 22 Tehran: The Statue of Ferdowsi is Deteriorating

The Ferdowsi statue in District 22 of Tehran is deteriorating.

The large Ferdowsi statue is collecting dust.

Mohammad Javad Khosravi, the mayor of District 22, said we wanted to bring the Ferdowsi statue to Tehran, but they didn’t give it.

He said that for about five months, Tehran Municipality has been pursuing the transfer of the Ferdowsi statue from Mashhad.

It was supposed to be installed at Ferdowsi University in Mashhad, but city officials said this hasn’t happened, and the statue is deteriorating.

The mayor of District 22 says that it was neither used in Mashhad nor given to the municipality for installation at Chitgar Heights or the Persian Gulf Lake.
