The Minister of Communications poured cold water on the users’ hopes

Resolving internet slowness will take years

Isa Zarepour, the Minister of Communications and Information Technology, stated regarding the latest actions taken to address internet slowness: In a committee recently formed on August 3rd at the National Center for Cyberspace, the Ministry of Communications also actively participated, and in this session, we discussed the issues present in the work.

He stated that some of the problems in the network are related to past years, hence it will take years of work to resolve the issue.

Solving this issue requires long-term and medium-term actions, such as the development of fixed communications in the country, which has not been addressed for years, and we are currently implementing a fiber optic project to resolve this problem.
