The Minister of Industry, Mine, and Trade Must Be Accountable for Price Increases

The Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade should be accountable for the price increases.

Shahbaz Hassanpour, Vice Chairman of the Economic Commission of the Parliament, stated that none of the systems launched by the Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade under the names of Integrated System or Comprehensive Trade or Behinyab have been effective in practice, and for precise market control and supervision, they are merely slogans. One of the main causes of the price hikes is the mismanagement of the Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade, and the members of the Parliament are most dissatisfied with the chaotic and uncontrolled price increases. For example, according to a resolution by the Islamic Consultative Assembly, car imports were supposed to take place in April this year, whereas now in March, only a limited number of cars have been imported, and instead of distributing them quickly, this ministry has plans for registration and lottery for the imported cars.
