The Minister of Science: Sharif and Tehran Universities are Establishing Branches in Iraq

The Minister of Science stated that Sharif and Tehran Universities are in the process of establishing branches in Iraq.

The Minister of Science, Research, and Technology said that we are advancing the higher education planning step by step and are trying to ensure the development of universities is based on needs.

On Wednesday, Mohammad Ali Zolfi Gol, on the sidelines of the cabinet meeting and in front of reporters, stated that we are advancing the higher education planning step by step and are trying to ensure that the development is based on needs in such a way that any field that wants to be established has an employment attachment.

He continued, we are also trying to change the approach for fields that have few students or whose capacity has decreased, or we may merge them with some universities.

Zolfi Gol also mentioned the establishment of overseas branches of Iranian universities in Iraq, stating that our major universities like Sharif University, Tehran University, and some provincial universities have had agreements with Iraqi universities and we are in the process of establishing branches in this country.
