The Ministry of Energy: The water volume of Tehran’s dams has decreased by more than 7 percent.

According to the latest statistics announced by Iran’s Ministry of Energy, the total volume of the reservoirs of Tehran’s five dams has decreased by 41 million cubic meters compared to last year.

The ISNA news agency has reported that currently, Tehran’s five dams hold 504 million cubic meters of water, whereas last year at this time, the water volume of Tehran’s dams was recorded at 545 million cubic meters.

Repeated droughts on the Iranian plateau and the water shortage crisis are among the issues that have increasingly threatened various cities and most major cities in Iran in recent years.
