The Ministry of Health has made voluntary service to war casualties a criterion for recruiting faculty members.
Tahereh Changiz, Deputy Minister for Education at the Ministry of Health of the Islamic Republic, announced the addition of voluntary activities to the evaluation criteria for applicants seeking membership in the faculty of medical universities.
She stated that previously, such activities played a lesser role in scoring applicants, but in the new faculty recruitment guidelines, they have gained greater importance.
Changiz emphasized that the changes are not radical or major, saying that voluntary activities in serving war casualties, needy groups, and also in teaching lower ranks are considered valuable in evaluating applicants.
According to her, voluntary activities before becoming a faculty member, including during student, residency, and military service periods, can also be considered in the evaluation of applicants.
