The national football team returned to Iran

The caravan of the Iranian national football team returned to Tehran on Wednesday evening

The Iranian national football team, which was grouped with England, Wales, and the USA in Group B of the 2022 Qatar World Cup, could not advance to the next stage after a 6-2 defeat against England, a 2-0 victory against Wales, and a 1-0 defeat against the USA, and was eliminated from the tournament

Our national players returned to Tehran on Wednesday evening after the conclusion of their World Cup matches and were welcomed by fans. Carlos Queiroz, the national team coach, also returned to Tehran to determine his future with the national team, whether to continue or end his collaboration

Hamid Sajjadi, the Minister of Sports and Youth, who traveled to Qatar three times to watch the national team’s matches, returned to Iran along with members of the Football Federation’s board of directors, federation employees, deputies, and officials of the Ministry of Sports, as well as many sports enthusiasts who spent a few days in Qatar
