The North Korean Leader: The Threat of Starting a Nuclear War Has Never Been This Serious

The North Korean leader has never seen the risk of starting a nuclear war as serious as it is now.

Kim Jong Un, the leader of North Korea, blames the United States for what he considers a hostile policy against Pyongyang, stating that the risk of starting a nuclear war has never been this serious before.

According to North Korea’s state news agency, Mr. Kim said yesterday at a military exhibition that never before have the parties involved in the Korean Peninsula been faced with such a dangerous confrontation and clash that could lead to a destructive nuclear war.

Mr. Kim stated that North Korea has used its utmost capacity in negotiations with the United States and accused the U.S. of pursuing a power-seeking and hostile policy against the country that is unchangeable.

Mr. Kim’s remarks come at a time when concerns about the strengthening military ties between Russia and North Korea in the war with Ukraine are increasing.
