The government’s deadline for introducing the Ministers of Defense and Intelligence has ended.
Abbas Goudarzi, the spokesperson for the Parliament’s Presidium, announced that the deadline set for introducing the proposed Ministers of Defense and Intelligence has ended. Goudarzi stated that according to Article 135 of the Constitution, the government had three months to introduce the proposed ministers, and since August 10, an additional 45-day extension was granted by the Leader. He added that this deadline has now ended, and the government must present its proposed candidates for the two ministries to the Parliament. The spokesperson for the Parliament’s Presidium also said that if the government has received new permission or authorization to continue with the current acting ministers, it must announce it officially. So far, the government has not released any official explanation regarding receiving such new permission.
