The President of Lebanon Distinguishes His Country's Talks with Israel from Iran-U.S. Negotiations

The President of Lebanon described his country’s negotiations with Israel as separate from the negotiations between Iran and the United States.

Joseph Aoun announced on his X network that Simon Karam, the former Lebanese ambassador to the United States, will lead the Lebanese delegation in the upcoming negotiations. Mr. Aoun said that he chose to negotiate with Israel and hopes that with this decision, Lebanon will be saved and the war will stop. According to him, the aim of the negotiations is to stop hostilities and end the occupation of areas in southern Lebanon.
