The head of the Iranian Veterinary Society said that the injection of a wrong drug has caused Pirooz’s kidney failure.

In an interview with ILNA, the head of the Iranian Veterinary Society provided new explanations about the cause of Pirooz, the Iranian cheetah cub’s death, stating that it had been known for months that the injection of a wrong drug led to Pirooz’s kidney failure.

In an interview with ILNA, Payam Mohibi explained that when Pirooz was transferred to Tehran, a wrong drug was injected into him. Unfortunately, one of our colleagues prescribed a wrong drug for Pirooz over the phone, and this drug caused Pirooz’s kidney failure. Pirooz was completely healthy when he was transferred to Tehran.
