The President of Ukraine presented a victory plan to the country’s parliament
Volodymyr Zelensky, the President of Ukraine, presented a series of measures titled the Victory Plan to the country’s parliament, which he claims will shift the balance of power in the war with Russia in favor of Ukraine by next year.
Meanwhile, the slow but steady advance of the Russian army continues on the eastern fronts, and with the onset of winter, a significant portion of Ukraine’s energy infrastructure has been destroyed or severely damaged in Russian attacks.
On Wednesday, October 17, Mr. Zelensky, in his speech to the Ukrainian parliament, called for the lifting of restrictions by Ukraine’s Western supporters on the use of long-range weapons in all occupied areas of Ukraine within the territory of the Russian Federation and against enemy military infrastructure.
The Victory Plan includes five main pillars, and it firmly rejects the cession of Ukrainian territory to Russia.
One of the pillars of this plan is inviting NATO to allow Ukraine to join this military alliance and to deploy the alliance’s strategic and non-nuclear weapons on Ukrainian soil, which are referred to as deterrent capabilities.
