The Promise of 200,000 Imported Cars Reduced to 10,000

The promise of 200,000 imported cars was reduced to 10,000.

According to the latest official statistics from the Customs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, as of Monday, March 11, a total of 9,709 passenger cars, valued at approximately 235 million dollars, have been definitively cleared. Although the policymaker who promised the delivery of 200,000 cars by the end of 2023 currently does not have a convincing answer for the sluggish car imports, it seems that with the shift towards importing electric products, another pause in the entry of foreign passenger cars may occur.
