The Public Prosecutor of Khorasan Razavi Seals a Doctor's Office for Insulting a Veiled Woman

The public prosecutor of Khorasan Razavi sealed a doctor’s office on charges of insulting a veiled woman.

The public prosecutor of Khorasan Razavi stated that a doctor’s office was sealed on charges of insulting a veiled woman and clerics in Kashmar.

Mohammad Hossein Doroudi said that following the publication of images on social media, this doctor was summoned and, after being informed of the charges, the necessary legal order was issued.

According to the issued judicial supervision order, this doctor is currently prohibited from performing medical activities, and investigations and legal actions in this regard are ongoing.

Efforts to silence any criticism or protest, especially following recent protests, have intensified.

Last week, a proposal titled ‘Punishment for Unprofessional Comments’ was presented to the Presidium of the Iranian Parliament, stating that anyone who makes false statements that receive widespread attention will be sentenced to 10 to 15 years in prison and a fine of more than 36 million tomans. Some critics have dubbed this proposal the ‘Silencing Plan.’
