The Communications Regulatory Authority announced that the internet has become more expensive, but the speed will increase six months later.
The deputy of the Communications Regulatory Authority stated that operators are committed to increasing their speed by 30% within six months, and if they fail to meet their commitments, they will face consequences and heavy fines are planned for them.
It was reported that the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology has agreed to increase mobile internet tariffs. Following this, today the operators MCI and Irancell announced a 34% increase in internet tariffs through a statement. However, according to the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, operators must fulfill three conditions in exchange for this tariff increase: first, increasing 5G sites to 10% by the end of 2024; second, increasing 4G coverage in the country to 96% by the end of 2024; and third, a 30% increase in average internet speed within six months.
