The public relations office of the Qom Revolutionary Guards issued a statement announcing the arrest of several protesters in this city.
According to IRNA, the statement mentioned that with the help of the province’s Revolutionary Guards intelligence organization, several main network leaders active in cyberspace, who played a guiding role in actions disrupting security in the province, were identified and arrested.
The statement did not provide details on the number of individuals arrested or their names, and mentioned that these individuals were involved in inciting riots, encouraging graffiti, distributing leaflets, insulting clerics, and other actions disrupting public security.
In recent days, the Iranian judiciary has issued heavy sentences for a number of protesters, and despite such sentences, nationwide protests in Iran continue.
