The Secretary-General of the Ophthalmology Association has sent a confidential report on pellet injuries to the eye to the authorities

The Secretary-General of the Ophthalmology Association has sent a confidential report on eye injuries caused by pellet impacts to authorities.

Previously, a group of professors and corneal transplant specialists wrote to the Secretary-General of the Ophthalmology Association of Iran about the dangers of pellet and paintball gunshots to the eyes, once on November 14th and again on November 19th to follow up on the previous letter.

Although ophthalmology specialists requested a follow-up on their warning letter, the Ophthalmology Association did not provide a public response to this group.

Yesterday, Mahmoud Jabarvand, the Secretary-General of the association, announced that a confidential report on this matter has been prepared and submitted to the authorities.
