The representative of the Stability Front in the Parliament stated that the law on chastity and hijab will be announced by the Speaker of the Parliament by December 6.
Morteza Agha-Tehrani, the head of the Parliament’s Cultural Commission, said that the Parliament, with coordination among various bodies and based on certain conditions, has held off on announcing the law on chastity and hijab until December 6. It is planned that the Speaker of the Parliament will announce this law on December 7.
Agha-Tehrani’s statement comes while the Deputy Legal Advisor to the President had said that although the law on chastity and hijab has been drafted, it is currently suspended.
