The controversy over SUVs in the parliament continues.
While one of the ministers’ impeachment petitioners has published a list of representatives who received SUVs, Mousa Ghazanfarabadi, the spokesperson for the parliament’s Supervisory Board on Representatives’ Conduct, stated that after reviewing Mr. Alireza Beigi’s statements, the board determined his claim about the delivery of cars to representatives to be false, and his case will be addressed in the judicial system.
According to ISNA, Mr. Ghazanfarabadi, referring to today’s meeting of the Supervisory Board on Representatives’ Conduct to review the claim of SUV delivery to representatives, said Mr. Alireza Beigi did not present any evidence to support his claim to the board. In response to the board members’ demand, he only provided a list that firstly lacked the names of seventy-five representatives, secondly had no connection between the presented claim and the impeachment, and thirdly had no legal value.
