The UK Cannot Hide Its Role in the Instability of West Asia

Baqaei: England cannot hide its role in the insecurity of West Asia

Ismail Baqaei, spokesperson for the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in response to the statements of Ed Miliband, the British Foreign Secretary, regarding Iran’s defensive actions, said the British government cannot ignore its role in the region’s instability by deflecting and misrepresenting the facts.

Baqaei, referring to military attacks against Iran during diplomatic negotiations, described the British Foreign Secretary’s statements as a distortion of reality and a reversal of the aggressor and victim roles. He also criticized the history of British policies towards Iran, comparing London’s stance to introducing Nazi Germany as a defender of peace and labeling England and its allies as aggressors in World War II.
