The U.S. Department of Justice is investigating the leak of Pentagon documents.
American officials have told Reuters news agency that Russia or hackers linked to its government are behind the leak of confidential Pentagon military documents on social media.
An American official told the news agency that these documents were altered in sections related to the level of damage to the Russian military in the war to prevent harming Russia’s image.
For the first time, a batch of military documents was published on some social media platforms like Twitter and Telegram on March 1st, and on Friday, April 7th, another set of documents was released on these platforms, revealing details related to U.S. national security secrets, including those concerning Ukraine, the Middle East, and China.

On Friday, The Washington Post also reported that the U.S. Department of Justice has begun investigating the leak of military and confidential Pentagon documents, which include information related to the potential capabilities and weaknesses of the Ukrainian military and NATO’s efforts to counter Russian aggression.
