The US sanctioned over 50 individuals and entities linked to Iran
The US Departments of Treasury and State have added more than fifty individuals, entities, and ships to their sanctions list due to connections with Iran. Among those sanctioned is Yazd Airlines, which they claim is involved in selling Iranian oil and sending weapons to groups supported by Iran.
The US Department of State has sanctioned 17 entities, individuals, and ships in several countries, including India, Panama, and Seychelles, which, according to the department, are involved in the sale of Iranian oil and petroleum products.
Simultaneously, the US Department of Treasury announced it is sanctioning several individuals, 20 companies, 10 ships, and 7 airplanes.
The department’s statement mentioned that disrupting financial and commercial flows supporting Iran’s malign activities will continue.
The sanctioned airplanes belong to Yazd International Airlines in Iran, which the US Department of Treasury considers a subsidiary of Mahan Air and claims is involved in sending weapons to Iran-backed terrorists in the Middle East.
